Bintang Sejahtera Community-Based Waste Management Initiative

Waste Bank

The latest data shows that the number of Waste Banks fostered by Bintang Sejahtera has reached 247 Waste Banks spread throughout the West Nusa Tenggara Region (Lombok and Sumbawa). These Waste Banks are fostered in a sustainable manner so that they can have a significant impact on changes in the Economy and Social Community, as members of the Waste Bank in each village.

1. Understanding of waste bank

A waste bank is a place that is used to collect waste that has been sorted. The results of the collection of sorted waste will be sent to the waste recycling center.

2. Benefits of waste banks

Making the environment cleaner, Making people aware of the importance of cleanliness and Turning waste into economical goods and can increase people’s income.

3. Purpose of waste bank

Helping to handle waste management in Indonesia, especially in the West Nusa Tenggara region and making people aware of a healthy, neat and clean environment.
